Before you can start to Promote Events or Advertise Events:
Create an Event Organizer profile. You will need to do this only once, and
this will also allow you to login into your Event Organizer profile when you visit
Events366.com
again in the future. Click on the link to create your
Events
Organizer profile. After you have created your
profile you can click on Promote Events to promote / advertise events.
General Guidelines for promoting events:
1) Event Title and Event Type are the TWO MOST
IMPORTANT pieces of information.
2) Provide accurate and complete information, so that readers need not spend
time looking for information elsewhere. When posting your event, do not put -
More info on my site, See my site for additional information, Click here for
more info, etc. Events366.com provides a consistent experience to its readers,
so that they need not waste time searching/collecting relevant event information
from various sites, in different formats. An incomplete event posting or an
event posting with low quality/unclear information is likely to produce poor
results, from this advertising service.
Event Title / Heading:
Choose a short event heading that is exciting and also tells the reader exactly
what the event is about. Event Title is one of the two most important pieces of
information which you provide when you advertise events. The Event Title is
shown on many pages within the site. Using a meaningful title will encourage
more users to view your event details.
Description:
Describe your event here. Tell the reader clearly what the event is about.
Again, a complete but brief event description will attract more readers.
Agenda: If there is
a defined agenda, tell the reader what happens when during the event. Use short
sentences. This field is optional.
Venue Name: The
name of the place where you are hosting the event. Example: If the event is in
a hotel, don't put 'Hotel' as the Venue Name. Give the name of the hotel. If
the event is at your residence, then put 'Residence'. If the event is in an
office, put the name of the company or just 'Office Space'.
Directions to Venue:
Provide clear instructions on how to get to your venue. Although this field is
optional, readers will expect you, the Event Organizer, to know how to get to
your venue. Many people may not bother to search for directions on their own,
and as a result may not attend your event.
Event Type: This is
the second of the two most important pieces of information, and is required
(i.e. is not optional). Select the wrong Event Type, and your event will never
reach its intended audience. When selecting Event Type, keep in mind the MAIN
FOCUS of your event and select accordingly. Examples: Art Exhibition, then
main focus is Art (not exhibition). Singles event at a bar, then the main focus
is Singles (not bar / nightlife). Career event at a college, then the main
focus is Career (not Education).
Cost Per Person:
Please tell the readers, how much it will cost them to attend this event. If
you offer multiple prices for this event, then put the lowest cost here. You
can mention other prices in the Description. If you do not provide the cost,
the event may be marked 'FREE' i.e. no charge for attending. Also specify Cost
Currency, Payment Methods you will accept, Refund Policy, and what is included
in your cost.
NOTE: As with any form of advertising, and the fact
that we are not the event organizers, we cannot and do not guarantee any
results. Terms & Conditions apply.
